Love the owner! Not about money but the passion, that there is an auto
enthusiast
Great license plate! “OSMIVLC” is a shortening of czech word osmivalec
meaning 8-cylinder engine.
Mr. Greenstein clearly has his poop in a group. The licence plate spelling
“eightclndr” in Czech is a wonderful touch.
5:02..an honest to goodness old school door lock..knob..and a real key..and
keyhole!!
Cool dude. Cool car. Cool YT channel. That’s what you call a setup,
pitch, and strikeout folks.
great guy with that russian style beard. awesome and unique car!
You have an awesome licence plate, Osmiválec 🙂 Greets from Czech Republic!
kráása!
Úžasnej chlapík, tenhle amerikánec. Má tam i jiný český kousky, taky
deskovou hru “Po stopách Hanzelky a Zikmunda” a ta espézetka “OSMIVLC” !
Pecka!
this guy is the awesomest dude ever!
It looks like the Batmobile crossed with the poo from a dolphin. lol
Thanks for the upload though! interesting.
What a beautifull machine!
Finally a Tatra video 😀 . There are arguments that the Tatra T97 was the
“forefather” of the beetle. It started production in 1936 and was forced to
shut down when the nazis invaded in 1938 presumably to avoid competition
with the beetle. It’s a shame Tatra was caught on the “wrong” side of the
iron curtain since it would have been interesting to see what they would
have come up with. The commie Tatras are easily the nicest eastern block
cars as well
What a great story. I really like the look of the Tatra and Mr. Greenstein
you are a very Kool guy.
Alfa Romeo preceded this car with the tear drop shape by at least 5 years.
It’s a pretty car but hardly the great influencer that it is claimed to be
in this video. To be an influencer in those days you had to race and win
with your cars.
Greetings from Dhaka, Bangladesh! This is an amazing video allowing us to
experience one of the most rare and least known automobile marques of the
world: Tatra! Mr. Paul Greenstein is an amazing personality. It is heart
warming to see his affinity with rare, odd and unusual automotive
artifacts. This is a highly original car that oozes East European
sensibility of the era on a grand scale. I think the Communist conquest of
the 50s and 60s completely pushed back the inventiveness and originality
that the Czechs/Hungarians could have given us, especially in motoring and
aviation. Thanks for posting this Petrolicious! Mr. Greenstein, indeed
served the next generation of automotive enthusiasts by restoring this car
painstakingly.
Wonderfull car thanks for showing, I didn’t even know these existed. I
would like to know why the license plate is zip-tied to the bumper, wierd
to see such a beautifully restored car with that. I think it is because he
didn’t wanted to alter the car’s originality by fitting a bracket, anyway I
think he could’ve done better. And have you seen the amount of wheel
weights, you do with what you get I suppose.
I’m reading in the comments that porsche based it’s first “beetle” car on
the tatras, is the car on the lift at 0,28 secs a tatra or a really early
beetle? Because I’ve never seen a beetle with those headlights and the rear
quarter pannel isn’t the right shape but the overall shape is the same.
Love this car!! +Petrolicious this got me thinking about the Tucker
Torpedo, you guys HAVE to find one to showcase!!!!
Beautiful character, beautiful car.
This was genuinely joyful to watch. Like 30% because of the glorious facial
hair.
This guy is the best person ever
turning indicators are just little red mailbox flags… is that even legal
today?
Beautiful!
What is the price of such a tatra now?
greetz from a happy jawa driver in holland!
What type is that police car?
My top favourite car, along with Citroen SM. True masterpieces!!!
J’adooooore !!!
Or, c’était pendant
Si je me rappelle
Rear-engine with column-mounted stick-shift? Can you imagine trying to keep
that adjusted?
Toller Film , gut gemacht .
GO CZECHS!
Nice Jawa 500 ohc Twin. Too bad the poor octane East Bloc GAS was such crap!
The engineers who are responsible for inventing such great piece of
automotive industry are truly geniuses.
Crazy stunt driving, don’t do it home. 😛 Nothing strange because Jaroslav
Pavelka was Tatra factory rally driver. Great one!
More of these. 🙂
Toto auto bola obyvacka na kolesach! A nech si mysli kto chce co chce,
DDDD …CZ
made in..
“Happy Journey” or “Joy Ride”?
Monty Python from the Czechs!!
4:48 sprav to s sedmickovym bavorakom a volaj odtahovku
Preston Tucker would be pleased.. True genius cannot be denied..
The soundtrack looks like Karel Vlac. 🙂
